Brief Information About Leather Chemicals
Leather chemicals are used in the case of leather processing and tanning. Tanning, also known as sepileme, is a process that increases the resistance of leather fibers, that is, the skin collagen, to degradation, microorganisms and fragmentation.
tankromⓇ AB is a basic chromium sulfate complex obtained by reduction by the inorganic method.
First, the salted skins are soaked in water, and then the hair remover is taken into a sodium sulfide- lime bath. After the lime is removed, the skin, which is taken into the enzyme bath, becomes ready for tanning. Tanning is completed in a chrome screed (potassium chromium sulfate) bath.
